Hydra community care is the sensory practice of alice edwall. They are a sensory artist, farmer and first aider working in the field of human ecology, nursing and is a practising community herbalist and plantfag that has studied under Sarah Holmes and Karyn Sanders at Blue Otter School of Herbal Medicine. They have also apprenticed under danish doktor Lian Tving at Lægernes akupunktur in Lyngby. Their practice is centered around issues regarding accessible care and the impact of white patriarchal supremacy on ones health in our politicized bodies. They have a great love for the ocean and for including care into the struggles and resistance movements we have locally, and how taking care of ourselves, the earth and each other helps us dream and create the realities we fight for. |
